Liesbeth Bijvoet, Member - Business director of the Jewish Historical Museum

I am the managing director of the Jewish Historical Museum in Amsterdam. Together with the Hollandsche Schouwburg, the Portuguese Synagogue, the Children’s Museum and the National Holocaust Museum (currently in development), the Jewish Historical Museum forms the Jewish Cultural Quarter located in Amsterdam’s old Jewish neighbourhood, in the very heart of the city.

This was after I switched from working in sustainability to the cultural sector. In addition to my position on the Supervisory Board at DutchCulture, I am also a member of the Supervisory Board of the Metropole Orchestra, a board member at Dansmakers and a Supervisory Board member at Kennisland.

I am originally a lawyer. I studied Dutch and International Law at the University of Amsterdam.
