International visitors: Junji Mamitsuka (JPN) en Liesbeth Gummels (SUR)

From 23 to 27 November Mr. Junji Mamitsuka and Mrs Liesbeth Gummels are our guests in our International Visitors Programme for Heritage.

Mr. Junji Mamitsuka is the Director the Dejima Restoration Office of the City of Nagasaki in Japan. Mrs. Liesbeth Gummels is Director and owner of Waterproof Tours Suriname.

They will participate in the Heritage, Tourism and Hospitality International Conference 2015 in Amsterdam on 26 and 27 November. The conference connects attractive tourist destinations, heritage conservation and academic theories on heritage and tourism in order to find innovative ways to satisfy the demands of travelers. Both our guests will lecture on shared heritage and tourism during the workshop Dutch heritage abroad.

Prior to the conference, we are hosting a programme for our visitors. On 24 November, a mutual programme will take them to Amsterdam Marketing and to Zaandam, and on 25 November both visitors have an individual programme which fits with their own professional needs and interests. Mrs. Gummels will meet several cultural funds and discover Surinamese collections of the Tropenmuseum. Mr. Mamitsuka will go to Leiden for a visit on the promotion of the city and its heritage as well as its extensive Japanese collections at the SieboldHuis.
