Ukrainian Museums Near the Front Line: The Changing Role of Regional Museums in Wartime
This is a video recording of DutchCulture’s public live event, featuring five Ukrainian museum directors and curators from prominent regional museums near the front lines. They reflect on their role, discussing questions such as how to share narratives of oppression and the destruction of (regional) identity — and how to shape new ones. The event was part of an international visitors programme held in June 2024.

These are difficult stories of loss and destruction, but also hopeful and inspiring examples of bravery, of sticking together, of fighting for one’s values.
