International visitor: Anne Lyons (AUS)

From 15 to 20 November Mrs. Anne Lyons will be our guest in our International Visitors Programme for Heritage.

Anne Lyons is the Assistant Director General of the National Archives of Australia in Canberra. She will exchange knowledge on the digitization of collections with her colleagues in the Netherlands and is interested in finding innovative uses of digitized data. She will explore further collaboration under the Shared Cultural Heritage programme, especially in the context of the remembrance year Dirk Hartog 2016.

Some of the organizations DutchCulture will introduce Anne Lyons to, are the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands, Digitaal Erfgoed Nederland (‘Digital Heritage the Netherlands’) and the Huygens Research Institute for History and Culture. Also she will attend a playtest of an ‘experience app’ with a primary school at Pavilion Welgelegen in Haarlem as well as the opening of a small exhibition on 40 years of Suriname independence at Imagine IC.

The programme is organized in collaboration with National Archives of the Netherlands.
