long description

Anansi Masters developed a special educational program for both primary and secondary education.

'''Primary educational program'''
Anansi Masters has developed an educational programme for primary group 3 t / m 7. Specially for this, a beautifully painted animation was created by artist Edward Brantsen, Stephanie van Seventer art teacher and crafts and filmmaker Mona Field. The animated story is about the clever wiles of Anansi.

In response to viewing the animation, children learn what are the ingredients of an Anansi story. With these ingredients, they can make an Anansi story by:

· Portraying (Including drawing, painting, photography)
· Writing
· Tell A Friend

The craft assignments encourage children to imagine Anansi the spider, his web and the environment of Anansi.
These representations provide a simple starting point for short Anansi stories or a part of an Anansi story to tell.

OBJECTIVES
The animation and related assignments stimulate the imagination and creativity of the students. The modules are also focused on the oral language, writing and listening skills. The assignments make the students spectator and participant of a rich cultural tradition and make them learn to appreciate. In this way, a part of the narrative tradition is passed on the new generation.
